This was also a big talking point with guests, they thought the views were incredible.
The accommodation and reception spaces were so well presented and had everything we needed to make the day seamless and stress-free. We had lots of space for our bridal party to get ready with hair and makeup, beautiful bathrooms for our guests, and plenty of parking for everyone.

Inside was clean and offered exactly what we needed for an amazing dance floor and seating for speeches. The accommodation side was also perfect with absolutely everything provided. We are beyond happy with this venue and so grateful we were able to have our wedding there.

The venue itself is breathtaking. The panoramic views, especially at sunset, were absolutely incredible and made for the most beautiful photos. We kept our styling quite simple because the venue genuinely does all the work for you. Every part of the property is so beautifully maintained, the included furniture is gorgeous, and the accommodation was cosy, comfortable and incredibly convenient.
Having the accommodation so close to the celebration was something I didn’t realise I would appreciate as much as I did. Being able to duck back for a quick touch-up, change, or even just have a quiet moment together made the whole day feel so relaxed and homely. I truly think it contributed enormously to how calm and present I was able to feel throughout the day.
But as beautiful as Maroon Hill Estate is, the team somehow made the experience even better.
Drew was incredible from the very beginning. He essentially held our hands through the entire planning process and was always there to answer our questions, give advice and make us feel like everything was under control. On the day, he made sure everything ran seamlessly, gave us little tips along the way and even helped settle the nerves before walking down the aisle.
One of my favourite memories from the entire day is seeing Drew walking down the hill towards us after the ceremony and what felt like hundreds of group photos, with two cocktails in his hands and the biggest smile on his face. I still remember the absolute relief and happiness I felt seeing him coming towards us with those drinks! It’s such a small moment, but I think it perfectly sums up the level of care he showed us throughout the entire experience.
We were also incredibly lucky to have Rhys there on the day. Having both Rhys and Drew on site meant we genuinely didn’t have to think or worry about anything. Any time something came up, Rhys would simply tell me, “Don’t worry about anything, we’ll sort it. Enjoy your night.” And they did. Every single time. They looked after not only us, but our guests as well, and allowed us to completely switch off and just enjoy our wedding.
That feeling is honestly priceless. On a day where there are a million things that could occupy your mind, we were able to be completely present, relaxed and enjoy every moment because we knew Drew, Rhys and the team had everything handled.
We cannot thank Maroon Hill Estate enough for the role they played in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be.
If we could do our wedding all over again, we would choose Maroon Hill Estate every single time.

The ceremony site furniture was all set up for us when we arrived, the coordinating team answered our calls and messages immediately when we had questions and the house was so beautiful!
Our guests were in awe of this venue and the views, and so were we. We feel so lucky and happy to have had our special day here.

Just you, your loved ones, and the mountains.”I’m not sure how to start this review because it’s hard to put into words how wonderful this whole venue and experience it provides is. From the first tour, we knew this was our place to get married. It feels like you’re on top of the world. Just you, your loved ones, and the mountains. Part of our package included a wedding coordinator, we were blessed with Drew, who made the whole process so much easier in the lead up. On the day, he was moving behind the scenes so effortlessly, and was such a wonderful person to have around. In our accommodation, there was also a beautiful photo book with our names stamped into the binding. What a beautiful gift that we were so joyful to discover! This venue is seriously one of the most wonderful wedding venues to exist. There are so many ways you can DIY the whole thing. It’s honestly just perfect. I hope one day someone in my life gets married here so I get to go back to this beautiful place on earth. Sarah, Rhys, Drew and the whole team who make this place what it is, thank you for making our day as special as it was.

Flash forward to September 2024 and we are still on an absolute high from our incredible wedding day! Everything was perfect! Staying at the venue the night before the wedding made the whole day feel calm and so easy. It had more than enough space for hair and makeup to fit in and get us all ready. The reception space looked incredible and was everything I had imagined. Our ceremony was exactly what I had imagined, Mount Maroon was the perfect backdrop and the weather was perfect. The cocktail area, the fire pit, the swing, the views, EVERYTHING was beautiful, we would not change a thing. The staff were exceptional and made sure the lead up and our wedding day ran smoothly. We loved that there were plenty of options for ceremony locations with beautiful natural backdrops and also the flat option to have the reception out under the stars. An outdoor reception was our dream but we didn’t want to have a marquee that would be an eyesore and waste of money if it wasn’t used. They have the indoor reception area for a wet weather option which solved this issue for us! They communicated well, the accommodation was amazing and they were very flexible in accommodating some of our preferences☺️

The views are unreal, the property is immaculate, and the staff went above and beyond from start to finish. Being able to stay on the estate from Thursday right through to Sunday made the entire experience even more special. It gave us the chance to unwind, settle in, and truly enjoy every moment. My bridesmaids and I had the perfect space to get ready together — relaxed, calm, and with everything we needed right there.
A huge special mention to Bruce from The White Stag team, who went above and beyond the entire time. As venue manager, he ensured everything ran smoothly, kept us calm, and made sure every detail went exactly to plan. His support was invaluable, and we can’t thank him enough.
Even when a huge storm hit just after the ceremony, everything was handled perfectly, and our day still felt absolutely magical. Rain poured, but the magic never stopped. Having all our loved ones together in the same room at the same time created a feeling we’ll never forget — so much love, joy, and energy. Our day truly felt straight out of a dream.
We also had an incredible team of vendors who made the day flawless: VGC Catering, Vintage Bar and Co, I Do Music Agency and Wild Weddings — all 10/10. Every single one of them brought their absolute best, and it showed.
We are forever grateful we chose Maroon Hill Estate. Rhys and Sarah, the owners of Maroon Hill are simply amazing. Our guests are still talking about the venue, the atmosphere, and how unforgettable the whole day was. I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could. Venue hire at Maroon Hill Estate starts from $9,600. Most couples spend between $25,000 and $80,000 on their whole wedding here, including catering, bar, styling and other vendors. Having full control over your vendors means you can tailor your day to your own vibe and budget.
No. Many couples choose relaxed cocktail-style receptions outdoors. Popular options include wood-fired pizza, roving canapés, food trucks or shared platters.
Maroon Hill is BYO-friendly. You supply your own drinks and we recommend serving through a professional bar service. All alcohol must be served by RSA-certified staff.
Most couples choose: catering, celebrant, drinks service, styling and florals, DJ and/or live band, photographer and often videographer, and transport or additional hire items. You can browse our recommended vendors any time.
We highly recommend one for every wedding, whatever its size. An uncoordinated wedding is… well, uncoordinated.
Your coordinator runs the timeline, directs vendors as they arrive, manages the flow of the day through speeches and dances, and handles anything that comes up — so you’re not fielding questions in your wedding clothes. You can add our own on-the-day coordination to your package, or engage an independent coordinator or planner.
We choose not to include food and drinks in our packages so that you have the ultimate freedom in curating your day. You can create your own wedding festival with food trucks and dessert carts outdoors, or make things formal with an indoor five-course dinner.
